The Onomasticon ~ Culpeper’s Herbs

Beloved Reader,

Issue One’s edition of our regular feature, The Onomasticon, comprises a list of The Gull favourite frivolously, curiously, mischievously and poetically named herbs, inspired by the upcoming anniversary of Mr Nicholas Culpeper, the 17th century physician whose radical ideas on free democratic access to health care are well worthy of securing widespread celebration of his quatercentennial anniversary this October. Look out for our special article and accompanying creative work on Nicholas in the next edition of The Gull. Meanwhile, have a peruse of this lexically titillating list of verbally toothsome botanical gems and if they happen to inspire a flux of creative humours then please send you work in to the Gull, we would love to read anything on the subject and particularly see artwork of Nicholas himself. Happy reading,

Best Wishes,

Your Gull.
